Do they bounce the front end? If they do, no matter how you hide it, it'll show. Unless they are really stupid. LOL

For inspection only put like 10 lbs of air in the tires... it will bounce.

its kinda hard to explain but jack the front end all the way up so the A arm is all the way against the frame then cut a little hole in the frame and slid a piece of rebar in it and cut it off flush then put a little tac weld on it, so that when you let the front end back down the spring doesnt compress all the way lets it sit high and stiff if its done right and still has a little bounce to it

Or... try this. In the upper A-arms you will see a little rubber tab... that tab bumpers against a little steel bracket welded off the side of the coil pockets on the frame. Cut the rubber tab out, then jack the front of the car up until the A-arm hits the little bracket. Drill a hole thru your A-arm and thru the bracket... then put a bolt thru it. Do it to both, make sure everything is sitting good, then take them back out when you load up for the show, go thru tech then put them back in when your in the pits.

I've helped a couple guys do it on the 80s Fords, it was simple... should work on just about anything though.

im sure it says no locked suspension though greg. raising a front end can be done with springs lol. I like being the underdog though man, to each their own. I like going out there and not even having a chance in hell, but still making SOMEthing happen with my rusty pile.

Gary's plan of attack is to die in the middle of the track. You wouldn't believe how many good cars he takes out. They get hung on him left and right. If i didn't know better, i would guess he coats his car in super glue. Every thing stick to it.

gary i do see what your sayin but this is alittle embarrising to say but i dont know how o swap the springs i know it sounds stupid but im just alittle scared that there gonna pop out and kill me i do know the basics really on how to do it just dont know exactly i would to see it done so i would know how to be on the safe side to raise it by lockin it only is two holes and a two bolts away like it takes 5 minutes each side

a good trick to learn how to do springs....on Saturdays and Sundays, watch extreme 4X4 show, its on spike TV I think. they do coil replacements almost every show.

And of Course max is right. I do take quite a few cars out......myself usually, but its still a blast going out there and just going nose to nose with stuff. Just sucks when they pull away LOL

Those were "big block wagon" springs. I still don't know what their problem was.

the tire pressure thing really kills me.this year thelocal fair added a rule saying cars had to have atleast 3" of suspention bounce, maybe it was just me, but there were a lot of slack tires at inspection and alot of guy's had to add air once they got through. really don't see how the tech guy's didn't catch it.

you buy the best car,you talk the best trash, but when the green flag fly's i'm gonna own your....
