Disconnecting the Speedo cable on some cars the fluid will travel up the cable and a trans with low fluid wont take long to burn out and leaking fluid from the transmission is a fire hazard so where the Speedo cable goes into the gearbox you measure the diameter of the hole and get a engine core plug that is the same size put a bit of sealer on it and tap it into the hole. Then take one of the steel transmission lines and go from one cooler line outlet to the other with the excess of the line going up beside the engine even if this gets crushed later in a derby the fluid will still bypass in the transmission instead of cutting through a rubber hose and loosing your fluid on the track. For the dip stick tube you can use the top of a dip stick tube from the front wheel drive cars that use a turbo hydro 125 transmission as the top of the stick has a leaver to lock it in place this stops fluid coming out the top of the tube. Even if you roll over in a derby no transmission fluid will leak from your gearbox.
