SEAT BRACING TIPS & TRICKS

Complements, Dean Barratt

As here in Australia we use a full cage with seats, fuel tank ,battery, four point harness, shifter etc already bolted into into it , I have been using a small cars seats in it but I have found with a real hard hit the seat crushes too much and I get to feel the bar behind the seat so I had a look at what the speedway racers were using and there seats were quite hard so I went to a race car supplies shop and bought a pair of polythene molded seats these seats feel hard to sit on but they have minimal give so with the hard hits you don't move and therefore you don't hop out aching they have holes for seatbelts to go through and  you can also mount these on a angle so it is easier to look out the rear of the car and it supports your legs as well as your back.
