HEAD GASKET TIPS & TRICKS

I have found when I blow a head gasket and have to repair it if i use some stikaflex smeared lightly on both sides of the new gasket, then the engine block and head has been primed with the stikaflex primer I don't have a problem with it blowing another gasket for the rest of the season ( approximately 15 derbies to a season here ) I don't know if the sealer is called stikaflex there but it is the sealer the windscreen repair people use to put the windows in the current model cars so you can pick it up from most hardware stores this stuff will stick anything to anything when cured , I also tension the cylinder heads 20 ft pounds more than it says, to allow for expansion and contraction then after its first derby I retention them to 20 ft pound more than factory just to check everything is ok.
