DRIVER PROTECTION TIPS & TRICKS

Complements, Dean Barratt

A good way to stop a car coming through the drivers door ( by accident of course ) is to get a piece of 8 mm checker plate and cut it to the size from your fire wall to past the center pillar weld a piece of 8 mm thick 20 mm od seamless tube at the top of this plate and at the bottom weld a piece of 20 mm x 20 mm  8 mm thick angle, then drill two holes at the front straight through the front pillar and bolt with some plates  do the same to the center pillar  and run some bolts through the angle through the floor, against  the plate put some 20 mm thick high density foam this will stop you from hitting against the door plate this then can be removed and swapped from car to car and the rear bar across the rear of the seat has something you can bolt it to firmly.
